In a very critical time, early on Linz found her true calling. As a baby she became hospitalized with pneumonia. In this miserable time Linz tried to find the right vibe to wash away her tears and replace them with joy but nothing seemed to work, not until her grandma’s ear bud loosened thus giving her grandma an idea. Grandma decides to put the earbud in Linz’s ear and play the currently selected track from her iPod. Didn’t take long and instantaneously Linz’s tears vanished; a beaming smile appeared. Linz quickly forgot all about the pain coursing through the iv. Linz felt so much joy she began to bop around in the hospital bed with laughter; she couldn’t be any happier in that very moment. Ever since that day, Linz has fallen in love with the idea of sound and music.
At age four Linz learned that her family owns a baby grand piano. Since then, she would sit at the piano for hours and try to understand the piano, despite her tiny hands barely able to play several notes at once, but she kept trying. Sometimes she would play for so long she would crash at the piano. Linz’s grandma loved listening to her granddaughter play and saw the potential gifted so early in life. At this time Linz’s older brother had been put into piano lessons. Each week grandma kept insisting to the teacher that Linz should be in lessons as well but the teacher kept saying that she’s too young and needs to wait until age six. One day, grandma got the teacher to finally watch Linz play. Grandma was right and the teacher was so impressed, feeling like she should have considered Linz as soon as grandma said something. So at age four Linz finally started piano lessons.
At age six Linz joined a music academy where she continued to study the piano basics and joined their choir with private vocal lessons on the side.
In 2013, Linz moved, causing her to loose access to the music academy. That didn’t make Linz give up. She joined her school choir and enjoyed her elementary school music class, especially in fifth grade where she got to learn the ukulele for a week. She loved it so much she wanted her own so she could keep practicing. In December her wish came true and there in her hands on Christmas morning was her Soprano ukulele. Since then, she would practice the ukulele, piano and vocals as well as started to teach herself how to write songs.
By May 15th, 2014 Linz had written her debut songs and was given the honor to record them in Nashvile with producer Dave Brainard. Later the debut album “Your Number / Love Sick” was released when Linz signed with Distrikid but taken down once Linz started production for her new album bundle “Songs Of Summer”. Also taken down once production of this album started was her ep “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)”, replacing it as a single to be included in “Songs Of Summer (Deluxe)”.
As Linz got older and the elementary years were coming to and end, she wanted more out of her music journey. She was getting tired of only knowing the basics in piano lessons and wanted a challenge with her ukulele teacher. So, she quit piano lessons and added guitar lessons. By this time, she was ready to start teaching herself other instruments, advanced song writing and producing. So, the lessons ended up becoming more of a fun activity with her music instructor, which only lasted another year and then the instructor had to stop teaching. When that happened Linz embraced this opportunity to advance up in being self-taught with the advanced music studies. The only part that remained constant was that she got to stay with the same school choir from grade four until senior in High School. Then two years of choir in College.
From 2018-2020 Linz was in a tribute rock band. They performed five shows locally in venues like The Hard Rock Cafe, Tavern Hall, and some others like them and then split. In this band Linz was the keyboardist and acoustic guitarist. The bands they tribute were Faith No More, Guns N’ Roses, The Beatles, and Pink Floyd as well as did an exclusive one night show of all originally written music featuring “Be Free” written and performed by Linz. After the band split Linz started her independent solo artist career as The Creative Linz. She’s been managing her one person band from 2020 to present day.
Upcoming music projects for The Creative Linz are: “Songs Of Summer” album, “Songs Of Summer (Deluxe)” album, “Songs Of Summer (Instrumentals)” album, “Songs Of Summer (Deluxe Instrumentals)” album, Songs Of Summer music videos and performances, “I’ll Fly Away” studio single and videos, and an instrumental album “Music For Dogs”. After these releases Linz is hoping to have some Christmas singles ready for the Holidays.
